As you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, our team members will greet you with a warm welcome and transfer you to your hotel. You’ll be escorted to Thamel, the heart of Kathmandu, where you can roam around the vibrant streets. In the evening, you’ll meet with the team and get your briefings for the upcoming days.

The day begins early as you catch a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, the starting point of Langtang Trek. The drive takes you through scenic mountain roads, offering stunning views of terraced fields and traditional village lifestyle. You’ll pass through Trishuli Bazaar to Dhunche and then finally to Syabrubesi. In the evening you can explore the town and then spend the night.
Your trek begins as you cross the Bhote Koshi River and follow the Langtang Khola. The trail starts with dense forests of oak, maple, and rhododendron forests. While the view of Langtang Lirung isn’t visible till you reach Langtang village, you’ll still witness stunning landscapes, waterfalls, and towns. Experiencing the flora and fauna of Langtang National Park, you’ll make your way to Lama Hotel, a collection of cozy teahouses in a forest clearing. Spend the night.
With a steady climb, you’ll cross several streams through wild forests. As you gain altitude, the vegetation gets thinner, and the valley widens. Through the trail, mountains slowly start to open up. As you approach the Langtang Valley, you’ll pass through the old Langtang Valley, which was destroyed by the 2015 earthquake. You’ll make your way to the new Langtang Valley, which was rebuilt. In the evening, you can interact with the locals and share stories.
Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa is a short route that allows you to soak in all the experiences. You’ll pass through yak pastures and traditional chortens while the mountain views become dramatic. Just before the last suspension bridge to Kyanjin Gompa, you can take an off-route tour to a hidden glacier lake just above Kyanjin Gompa. From there, you’ll descend to reach Kyanjin Gompa, an ancient Buddhist village with a rich cultural background. In your free time, you can visit the local cheese factory and explore monasteries in the town. Witness the panoramic views of Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, and surrounding peaks.
Acclimatization days are crucial during high-altitude trekking. A perfectly planned acclimatization day in Kyanjin Gompa allows the body to adapt to the increasing altitude. You’ll hike to Kyanjin Ri (4,773m) for stunning panoramic views of the Langtang range. In the evening, connect with the locals, witness the traditional lifestyle of the highland people, and prepare for the upcoming days.
Leaving behind the Langtang trail, you’ll enter the wilderness without accommodation. The path becomes more challenging as you traverse through rocky terrain and moraines. The Naya Kanga Base Camp is set up in a protected area that offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Our guides will set up the camp and, in the evening, will brief you about summit tactics, conduct, and equipment checks. You’ll have dinner early and spend the night.
As you gain altitude, you’ll use careful technical skills to navigate rocky terrain and glacier paths. The high camp is strategically located for the ideal summit attempt. In the afternoon, you’ll make the final preparations and establish safety protocols. Our guides will conduct a final weather check and brief you about the summit attempt. Early dinner and rest are essential for a taxing day tomorrow.
This buffer day is crucial for weather changes during summit attempts or additional acclimatization if needed. Weather conditions in the Himalayas are unpredictable and can change within minutes. A buffer day allows us to navigate the challenges of exhaustion, altitude, and weather conditions.
For the summit push, you’ll start around 2 AM as you begin to conquer the Naya Kanga Peak. You’ll use fixed ropes and traverse through snow and ice fields. The final approach requires technical climbing skills and proper navigation. As you summit the peak, mixtures of controllable emotions surge as you witness the magical view of the Himalayas unfold within your eyes. Enjoy the panoramic views of Langtang Lirung, Shishapangma, and countless other peaks from the summit. Make memories and descend to Base Camp.
Your descent begins as you move back to Mundu. The trail becomes easier as you lose altitude. Take this time to soak in the experiences made so far. Reach Mundu and celebrate your summit success. Spend the night here.
Continue your descent through familiar terrain but with new perspectives. The day’s journey offers the perfect chance to reflect on your achievement while enjoying the stunning scenery. Reach the Lama Hotel and spend the night.
Your final day of trekking brings you back to civilization at Syabrubesi. Take this day to express your gratitude to the excellent Langtang National Park and the Himalayas for giving you the experience of a lifetime. Reach Syabrubesi and spend the night there.
