When you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our team will welcome you warmly. Then we will take you to a comfortable luxury hotel. After a long flight, you can rest and relax. This day is mainly for rest and preparation for the trek. You will also meet your guide and get a short introduction about the journey ahead.
Today you will explore the beautiful Kathmandu Valley. You will visit famous cultural and religious places like Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple). These places are very important in Nepalese culture and show the rich history of the country.
You will see monks, prayer wheels, colorful flags, and peaceful surroundings. After sightseeing, you will return to the hotel. In the evening, your guide will give a full briefing about the trek, safety rules, walking hours, and altitude tips.
This day helps you understand the trip better and prepare mentally and physically.
Early in the morning, you will take a very exciting mountain flight to Lukla. This flight gives amazing views of hills, rivers, and mountains. Lukla airport is small and located on a hillside, which makes it very famous.
After landing, you will meet your trekking crew. The walk begins slowly towards Phakding village. The trail goes down through small Sherpa villages, forests, and suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River.
You will feel fresh mountain air and see prayer flags and local life on the way.
Today is a longer walking day. You will follow the river, cross many suspension bridges, and walk through pine forests. The trail slowly goes uphill after Monjo village where you enter Sagarmatha National Park.
After a steady climb, you will reach Namche Bazaar. This is the biggest Sherpa town in the Everest region. You will find shops, bakeries, cafes, and amazing mountain views here.
This place is also important for rest and adjustment to altitude.
Today is a rest and acclimatization day. This is very important for your body to adjust to high altitude. You will take a short hike to Everest View Hotel or Khumjung village.
From the viewpoint, you can clearly see Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and other peaks. The view is stunning and unforgettable. Later, you can explore local markets, museums, and learn about Sherpa culture. This slow activity helps you stay healthy for higher altitude days.
After breakfast, you start walking through beautiful mountain trails. The path goes up and down through forests filled with rhododendron trees. If you are trekking in spring, the flowers make the trail colorful.
You will also get your first close view of Ama Dablam, one of the most beautiful mountains in the Himalayas. At the end of the day, you reach Tengboche. This place is famous for its monastery where monks perform prayers.
Today the trail becomes more open and less forested. You will walk down to the river and then slowly climb uphill to Dingboche village. The scenery changes to rocky mountains and wide valleys. You will feel you are getting closer to the high Himalayas. Dingboche is a quiet village surrounded by big peaks. It is a perfect place for rest and adjustment.
Today you stay in Dingboche for acclimatization. You will take a short hike to a nearby hill called Nangkartshang Peak.
From the top, you can see amazing views of Makalu, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. The hike helps your body adapt to thin air. After returning, you can rest and enjoy warm meals in the lodge.
The trail today becomes colder and more challenging. You will walk slowly uphill through rocky paths and open landscapes.
You will also pass memorials built in memory of climbers who lost their lives in Everest expeditions. This place is emotional and peaceful. As you reach Lobuche, the air becomes thinner and the temperature drops.
Today is the most exciting day. You will walk along the Khumbu Glacier and finally reach Everest Base Camp. This is a dream place for many trekkers. You will see ice, rocks, and huge mountains all around. After spending some time, you will return to Gorakshep for the night.
