Island Peak Climbing is one of the most popular trekking peaks in Nepal. Officially known as Imja Tse, this beautiful mountain stands at an altitude of 6,189 meters (20,305 feet). It is located in the Everest region, surrounded by some of the highest peaks in the world. Location and Route of Island Peak Climbing
Island Peak lies in the heart of the Khumbu region, close to the village of Chhukung. Most climbers start their journey with a flight to Lukla, followed by a trek through Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, and Dingboche. After acclimatization, the route leads to Island Peak Base Camp. From there, a steep climb brings you to the summit. Most itineraries also include a visit to Everest Base Camp or Kalapatthar for acclimatization.

- Nepal entry visa fee $50 USD for 30 days visa on arrival.

- Note: Occasionally, flights from Lukla may be delayed or canceled due to bad weather, which could affect the completion of your trek on time. In such cases, a helicopter flight can be arranged as an alternative. The cost for a shared helicopter flight is $500 less or more depends on per person one way (either Kathmandu to Lukla or Lukla to Kathmandu).
